Position: Maintenance Technician I

Salary Range: $50,405.00 To $56,335.00 Annually

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician I is essential for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of Turck’s facilities and production equipment. This job title involves performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities include maintaining production equipment, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, performing preventative maintenance, and responding to maintenance issues promptly to minimize downtime.

What will you do?

  • Perform routine scheduled and corrective maintenance on a variety of production equipment, quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Repair or replace defective parts in various systems, including plumbing systems, electrical systems, and HVAC.
  • Perform basic trouble shooting and problem solving using a variety of tools, meters, and techniques.
  • Basic understanding of the use of voltage meters and continuity testers.
  • Use SharePoint (SP) to manage work orders, assets and inventory.
  • Monitor the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, chemicals, and equipment and initiate reordering when necessary.
  • Maintain 5S standards within the department and on the production floor, with a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
  • Manage the safe disposal of hazardous chemicals.
  • Manage production tool crib, issue tools and equipment to workers and maintain records of tools and equipment issued and returned, manually or using computer.
  • Help in the setup and arrangement of production lines and equipment.
  • Safe operation of forklifts, man lifts and rigging equipment.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas incorporating 5S standards.
  • Fill Machines (Potting), some heavy lifting is involved and must be able to lift 75 pounds.
  • Work with production to assist with start-up and shutdown of equipment.
  • What will you bring to the table?

  • One to three years of work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of electrical and mechanical aspects of production equipment and tooling is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills are preferred.
  • Good problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to lift 75lbs.
  • Working Conditions/Physical Demands, Travel, etc.
    Some exposure to heat, chemical fumes, and noise, with no element continuously present to the extent of being disagreeable. Job is performed in a dynamic environment where standing, bending, lifting, etc. is required.
