Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an open opportunity for an experienced Configuration Management (CM) Analyst to join our team supporting our Plymouth, Minnesota location.

Please note this position may be filled at the Principal or Sr Principal Configuration Management Analyst level depending on the candidate’s education and/or years of experience.

This role is part of the Armament Systems Configuration and Data Management Team that focuses on providing tools, processes and subject matter expertise for configuration and data management activities across our programs, suppliers, and partners for all engineering programs. Analysts are key program drivers managing product configuration baselines (Functional, Allocated and Product) and releases through Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, JIRA, Bitbucket, SharePoint, and system modeling tools.

Program Analyst are at the forefront of program strategy creating, updating, and maintaining program Configuration Management / Data Management Plans and coaching/managing programmatic alignment to Configuration Management / Data Management Plans across various program or project Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). In addition, this individual will perform program or audits and lead various Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings in coordination with the internal team as well as external customer – supporting the process of Change Notices (CN’s), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Requests for Variance (RFVs) for the program.

They will be the program advocate and driver supporting the generation, release, and delivery of Contract/Supplier Data Requirements Listings (CDRLs/SDRLs) to our customers helping to ensure that the delivered items meet contractual requirements.

• To qualify as Principal Configuration Management Analyst

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business/project management, computer information systems, or library sciences & analytics plus 5 years of relevant experience in Configuration Management (CM)/Data Management (DM);
  
  Or, master’s degree plus 3 years of relevant experience.

• To qualify as Sr. Principal Configuration Management Analyst

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business/project management, computer information systems, or library sciences & analytics plus 8 years of related experience in Configuration Management (CM)/Data Management (DM);
  
  Or, master’s degree plus 6 years of relevant experience.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Experience working configuration management in a highly regulated industry

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and must have the ability to obtain a DOD security clearance to a level of Secret.

• Experience understanding and translating contractual requirements into program planning activities

• Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) and data management tools

• Experience managing customer deliverables (CDRLs) and supplier deliverables (SDRLs)

• Knowledge of MIL-STD-31000 and the proper application for drawing generation and Technical Data Package (TDP) deliveries.
