Ascend Financial Group is a team of financial planners providing a first-class experience to high-net-worth individuals, business owners, families, and individuals. We are looking to expand our team through professional, bright, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and passionate individuals in a Paraplanner role. Paraplanners are responsible for supporting our team as we address key areas of financial planning for our clients: retirement and estate planning, education funding, income tax planning, investment analysis, and cash flow analysis.

- Review and analyze documents, tax returns, statements, etc.
- Interact with clients to assist with their servicing needs related to their planning
- Prepare financial projections and manage client websites through eMoney
- Prepare presentations for clients/prospect meetings
- Direct communication with industry professionals (e.g. CPAs, Attorneys, Bankers)
- Participate in client meetings, actively engaging in discussions and capturing key points through thorough note-taking
- Effective oral and written communication skills to successfully interact with prospects, clients, and other financial professionals
- Highly developed level of discretion and sound judgment
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work within deadlines
- Ability to work effectively with and add value to a goal-oriented team
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance and/or similar experience in field
- 1 year of experience in the Finance, Accounting, or Investing Professions
- 1 year of financial planning experience
- Experience utilizing financial planning software (eMoney, Money Guide Pro, etc.) to analyze situations and build financial plans
- Base understanding of the industry, financial concepts, product and market knowledge, and investment management
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
- Ability to read and analyze financial documents and spreadsheets
- Prior advising experience
- Series 7 (or
6) and 66 (or 63 and 65) as well as Life, Accident and Health Licenses preferred
