Senior Sales Engineer

This role serves as a senior technical and commercial resource supporting aftermarket solutions within complex industrial and process-driven environments. The Senior Sales Engineer acts as a primary customer interface, combining engineering expertise with consultative sales skills to evaluate operating challenges, develop technical proposals, and support field execution efforts. The position requires close collaboration with internal engineering, service, and operations teams to deliver effective, value-driven solutions from initial assessment through project completion.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, qualify, and develop aftermarket sales opportunities within assigned accounts and markets.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for customers addressing operational, mechanical, and process challenges.
- Lead development of technical proposals, scopes of work, and commercial recommendations.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and engineering evaluations to support solution development.
- Coordinate and support execution of field service projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Present technical findings and recommendations to customers through written reports and presentations.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to site conditions, proposals, and customer interactions.
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and trade shows as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Five or more years of experience in a technical engineering, applications, or sales-oriented role.
- Strong working knowledge of industrial thermal and process systems.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Excellent technical writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly and persuasively.
- Experience supporting aftermarket services within power generation or heavy industrial environments.
- Familiarity with boiler systems, heat recovery equipment, and applicable industry codes.
- Background in conducting engineering studies related to thermodynamics, heat transfer, or fluid systems.
- Comfort managing multiple concurrent projects with varying timelines and priorities.
