Description Make your mark at the world’s largest HVAC company! Daikin Applied is seeking an Instructional Designer to join our team! The Instructional Designer is responsible for creation and/or updates to content as projects are assigned. Under general supervision, this individual will design projects and will have the opportunity to coordinate with both internal and external resources. Strong knowledge of leveraging technology for learning is key for instructor-led, virtual, and online consumption of material.

  • Leverage high impact instructional design methodology to create engaging learning content and interactive learning experiences aligned to business results
  • Develop solutions that create powerful targeted learning experiences in a variety of modalities: virtual classrooms, eLearning, video, learning pathway, playlists, instructor-led
  • Contribute to the evaluation and selection of learning technologies for the organization
  • Apply the Instructional Design process in the organization, and support Sr. Instructional Designer, Program Managers, or Manager on projects
  • Manage multiple simultaneous projects
  • Leverage standard learning project management practices and tools including: charter, scope, schedule, risk and dashboard
  • Accountable for projects to be delivered on-time, within scope
  • Partner with senior learning team members, leaders, sponsors and subject matter experts to identify learning opportunities that drive business results
  • Produce needs analysis and learner personas that deliver innovative, performance-based learning outcomes
  • Identify opportunities to leverage learning and collaborative technologies to enhance the learner experience

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Learning, Education, or Human Resources
  • 1+ Year of Instructional Design experience including creation of VILT, eLearning, Micro-Learning, and ILT
  • Knowledge of Design/development tools, modalities and technology
  • Strong communication skills
  • Familiarity with the ADDIE model
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ Years of experience leveraging various modalities of design:
    Virtual Instructor Led, eLearning, Micro-learning, Pathway, etc.
  • Corporate Instructional Design experience
  • Knowledge of Agile Design
  • Project Management skills

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $59,500 to $95,000 in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
