Job Overview
Physician Assistant role providing healthcare services in clinic and surgery under physician direction. Full-time clinical/surgical position in Spine Specialty at Blaine clinic.
Essential Functions- Assist physician in clinic: room prep, x-ray orders, compile patient medical data.
- Assist surgeon in operating room: pre‑surgery planning, patient positioning, instrument checks, surgical assistance, wound closure, patient removal.
- Perform therapeutic procedures: splinting, casting, suturing, wound care.
- Apply, remove, modify casts and soft goods; change dressings; remove sutures.
- Implement patient management plans, record progress, assist in care provision.
- Consult with patients for cast application/adjustment, dressing changes, brace application.
- Rounding and call as required by supervising physician.
- Prescribe medications.
- Occasionally participate in community outreach events.
- Any and all other duties as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- NCCPA certification.
- Minnesota Board of Medical Practice registration/license.
- DEA registration.
- ≥1 year orthopedic experience required; spine experience preferred.
- Starting pay varies based on education, skills, experience.

- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds independently; occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.

- Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents.
- Auditory ability to participate in calls clearly.
- Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment.
