Reports to: Credit A/R Manager

Work Location: Baldwin Supply – Plymouth Location

Job Summary

The A/R Specialist position works closely with the Credit A/R manager as a small team providing all account receivable services to our internal and external customers. It is a fast-paced environment, with a high volume of accounts and requests throughout the day. The position will require being able to prioritize your day and meet deadlines as needed.

Job Responsibilities
  • Payment application daily for check, ACH and credit card payments
  • Invoice Entry for payment (includes emailing to requestor and/or entering invoices into portals)
  • Research and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies for sales and customers
  • Monitor A/R inbox to assist with customer and sales team requests and inquiries
  • Collections on past due accounts
  • Assisting with Sales Tax Exemption on orders/invoicing
  • New Customer Set-up
  • Back up Credit A/R Manager as needed
Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma
  • Associates degree in Accounting is preferred
  • 2-3 years experience with accounts receivables is preferred
Required Skills/Abilities
  • High degree of accuracy
  • Great attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and develop
  • Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

Physical Requirements:

  • Vision:
    Must possess specific skills like close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment, mainly for computer use.
  • Mobility:
    Mostly seated at a desk, with occasional needs for standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
