REDFORD LATERAL POLICE OFFICER POSITION OPENINGS
The Redford Township is seeking qualified, lateral applicants for the full-time Police Officer positions.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS- Current Police Officer
- Lateral hires are credited for each full year of service at a previous agency:
- 1 year: $57,820
- 2 years: $62,525
- 3 years: $67,373
- 4 years: $74,176
- Top Pay: $77,929 (4/1/25)
- $4,500 Bonus Pay each year, .
- 3% Yearly Incentive Pay.
- Gun & Uniform
Allowances:
$1,000 each. - 26 Vacation Days, 4 Personal Days, Sick Days, and Paid Holidays.
- Defined Benefit Pension w/ 5% contribution; 2.5% multiplier after 25 years.
- Deferred Retirement Option Plan (D.R.O.P.)
- College Tuition Reimbursement.
- 12-Hour Shifts; 2-week cycle (5 and
2). - Retirement HSA, employee 1.5%, Township match 1.5%.
