Business Controller VA Kit Center & Automotive Logistics North America

This Controller position will combine the manufacturing controlling of our Kit Center in Crossville and the logistics flows in Automotive North America. The VA Kit Center & North America Logistic Controller is a key position supporting manufacturing and logistics operations in business decisions and driving continuous improvement.

Plymouth, MI - hybrid. Salary Target: $115,000 - $138,000.

• Own the standard cost calculation process for kitting operations, ensuring accuracy and alignment with operational realities.
• Analyze logistics costs (transportation, warehousing, distribution, etc.), identify cost drivers, and recommend cost‑saving initiatives.
• Review GL accounts during monthly close. Prepare and present financial and operational reports, including variance analysis, KPIs, and dashboards for senior leadership.
• Drive controlling processes: yearly planning process, quarterly forecasts, monthly close activities, regular pulse meetings and transformation project meetings.
• Build financial models to evaluate logistics initiatives, network changes, and transformation projects across the NAM region.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements related to logistics spend.
• Calculate and maintain logistics and kitting/packaging costs as a percentage of sales, providing visibility into cost trends and profitability.
• Support the Investment Review and Evaluation (IREs) process for logistics and aftermarket packaging operations.
• Assess the financial impact of logistics changes including tariffs, freight rate fluctuations, and spend variations. Provide pricing support and challenge logistics decisions with data‑driven insights.
• Monitor and analyze 3PL activities and spend, ensuring alignment with budget and strategic goals.
• Provide financial analysis and support for North Americas transformation initiatives, identifying opportunities for operational and financial improvement.
• Ensure that Standard Cost calculation, reporting, accounting and other financial and controlling matters are in line with SKF and local legal requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, supply chain management, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 6+ years of experience in FP&A, logistics finance, or supply chain analytics.
