Prototype Engineer Summer Intern

Summary:

Toyoda Gosei North America (located in Troy, MI) has an opening for a Prototype Engineering Summer Intern. The Prototype Engineering Intern will assist the Safety Systems engineering team with building and testing prototype safety systems components.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

* Assist engineering team with prototype builds through tracing, cutting, and sewing prototype airbag cushion components

* Lead 5S management system for inventory entering and leaving prototype and testing areas

* Assist engineering team with setting up and carrying out tests of prototype safety components

* Support Tested Parts, reporting and analysis

* Lead engineering projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications and

Competencies:

* Coursework towards a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

* Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

* Excellent organization, communication and time management skills required

* Highly analytical and detail-oriented

* Strong desire to learn all aspects of Safety Systems
