AVL is looking for a Service Engineer I to add to the team in Plymouth, Michigan.
Responsibilities- Calibrate, perform preventative and corrective maintenance of AVL equipment.
- Able to wire control devices and verify operation.
- Assist in the evaluation and repair of AVL equipment.
- Assist in test equipment installation, configuration, maintenance and calibration.
- Actively participate in developing one’s own training plan and exhibit ownership in completing training.
- Provide feedback of troubleshooting guides and continuous improvement methods to increase operating equipment effectiveness (O.E.E.).
- Record and document calibrations, diagnostic and performance test results, records maintenance activities, and documents while accurately maintaining shift logs.
- Professional and timely submittal of timesheets, calibration reports, and other administrative responsibilities.
- Complete all applicable safety training.
- 2 Years Technical college preferred, High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic electronic or precision mechanical assembly knowledge
- Ability to read blueprints including electrical schematics
- Electrical wiring skills
- Knowledge and use of fine mechanical hand tools
- Ability to diagnose problems with simple systems
- Basic knowledge of personal computer hardware and software
