Applications Engineer

The Applications Engineer plays a key role in ensuring customer‑facing attributes such as range, charging performance, and drivability are achieved while supporting vehicle integration and issue resolution throughout development and validation phases.

• Tunes Client application parameters, including:
  • State of Charge (SOC) / State of Health (SOH)
  • Operating limits and derates
  • Thermal control strategies
  • Cell balancing strategies
• Supports vehicle integration and drive testing activities.
• Translates vehicle usage profiles into Client application settings and behaviors.
• Supports performance optimization for customer‑facing attributes such as:
  • Vehicle range
  • Charging performance
  • Drivability and responsiveness
• Assists with issue resolution during vehicle builds, testing, and validation phases.
• Supports root cause analysis in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Communicates application behavior, risks, and improvement opportunities to stakeholders.
• Other duties as required to ensure program success.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Master's degree preferred
• Experience with Client application, vehicle integration, or embedded systems
• Hands‑on vehicle testing or calibration experience preferred

• Strong understanding of Client application behavior and vehicle interaction
• Experience tuning SOC/SOH models, limits, thermal controls, and balancing strategies
• Ability to interpret vehicle usage data and translate it into application settings
• Experience with vehicle testing and in‑vehicle validation
• Familiarity with EV performance metrics such as range, charging, and drivability
