We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and reliable Early Childhood Montessori Lead Teacher to join our collaborative and supportive faculty. This role is an incredible opportunity for someone passionate about the Montessori philosophy.

Summary of Roles
The Early Childhood Teacher is responsible for leading a mixed‑age primary classroom (ages 3‑6) and creating a prepared, engaging learning environment based on authentic Montessori principles. In addition, the lead teacher is responsible for guiding and supporting their teacher assistant. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of child development and a passion for the Montessori method.
Key Responsibilities
Classroom Environment & Instruction- Implement the Montessori Method:
Prepare and maintain a beautiful, orderly, and authentic Montessori classroom environment with a full range of materials. - Observation and Assessment:
Observe and assess the individual needs, interests, and progress of each child, documenting their work and using observations to guide lesson planning. - Individualized Instruction:
Present lessons across the Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, and Culture areas, guiding children through the curriculum at their own pace. - Spiritual Integration:
Weave Christian values, virtues, and Bible stories seamlessly into the curriculum and classroom culture, modeling a love for God and neighbor.
- Supervision:
Actively supervise students during work time, recess, lunch, nap/rest time, and transitions to ensure their safety at all times. - Nurturing:
Provide a warm, respectful, and supportive presence for all children, fostering grace, courtesy, and independence. - First Aid:
Administer basic first aid/comfort measures for minor injuries and illnesses, following school protocols and documentation requirements.

Collaborate positively and professionally with assistant teachers, colleagues, and the Head of School/Administration. - Christian Values:

Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain current Montessori certification and state licensing requirements. - Professional Development:
Attend scheduled staff meetings, in‑service days, and professional development opportunities as required.
- Communication:
Maintain regular, open, and professional communication with parents regarding their child's progress, school events, and the Montessori philosophy. - Conferences:
Prepare for and conduct parent‑teacher conferences. - Community Involvement:
Participate actively in school events, faculty meetings, and community gatherings.
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. - Certification:
Full MACTE‑accredited Montessori Primary (3‑6) certification. - Experience:
Prior experience in a Montessori classroom and working with Early Childhood - Skills:
Exceptional classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
Full‑Time:
Hours 7:45 a.m.‑3:45 p.m. Monday‑Friday (August ‑June) with some outside planning and classroom preparation hours
Competitive Montessori Teacher salary starting at $40,000 and increases with the amount of experience and education
