Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Lactation Consultant IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for supporting new mothers and infants through expert breastfeeding guidance, education, and case management. As a Lactation Consultant IBCLC, you will play a vital role in promoting optimal infant nutrition, providing culturally sensitive support, and enhancing maternal health outcomes within our pediatric practice.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive lactation support and counseling to mothers and families, addressing breastfeeding challenges and concerns with evidence-based practices.
- Conduct individual assessments of maternal-infant dyads, including physiological evaluations and anatomy knowledge to develop personalized care plans.
- Educate families on breastfeeding techniques, infant physiology, and nutrition through engaging presentations and public speaking engagements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts, ensuring continuity of care for breastfeeding infants with special needs or medical conditions.
- Utilize data analytics and data analysis skills to monitor breastfeeding success rates and identify areas for program improvement.
- Maintain thorough documentation of consultations, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with medical terminology standards.
- Support public health initiatives by participating in community outreach programs aimed at promoting breastfeeding awareness.
- Certification as an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) is required.
- RN license or equivalent healthcare credential preferred
- 1–2 years of lactation or maternal/child health experience
- Proven experience in lactation consulting within pediatric or maternal health settings.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pediatrics, and medical terminology related to breastfeeding and infant development.
- Excellent presentation skills and public speaking abilities for educational sessions and community engagement.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools and case management practices to evaluate program effectiveness.

Pay: $40.00 - $58.00 per hour
