Our outpatient pediatric facility is looking for dynamic individuals who are ready to grow with a company situated in the medical hub of Plymouth. Full time pediatric physical therapy positions are available. Caseload consists of developmental, neurological and orthopedic conditions. Mentorship provided by highly experienced full time PT within PT department.
Responsibilities- Physical Therapy needs are assessed and evaluated according to organizational and professional guidelines.
- Plans, prepares, or carries out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, or prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
- Documentation is complete, timely and in accordance with facility and practice guidelines.
- Records prognosis, treatment, response, and progress in patient’s chart or enters information into computer.
- Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation.
- Treatment plan is revised based on patient progress towards stated goals.
- Instructs patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home.
- Therapy and health care students are oriented, trained, and mentored to achieve stated performance expectations.
- Additional department, organization, or network activities are completed per established objectives.
- Complies with professional, ethical, and legal standards.

Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program - Experience:

Current MA Physical Therapist license
- BLS required
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the English language.
- Basic computer skills
- Appropriate knowledge of physical therapy evaluation, interpretation, treatment planning and execution taking into consideration patient’s age, psychosocial, cultural and religious background.
- Basic skills in teaching other and self-assessment of learning needs, strengths and professional goals.
- Safely execute all job responsibilities without risking injury to self or patients. Ability to assess and interact with patients and families using the theories of human growth and development, family systems and cultural background.
- Maintain variable work schedule depending on program needs to provide patient care (evening, holidays, weekend and travel)
- Computer proficiency required. Microsoft office applications preferred with ability to learn new software.
- Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills, working with diverse population.
- Work independently, be self-directed and contribute as a member of a team.
- Anticipates challenges and develops and implements strategies for addressing them.
- High level of service delivery. Demonstrate initiative and ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and adapt to changing situations.
- Attention to detail.
