365 Healthcare is seeking a LOCUM TO PERM Hematology/Oncology Physician to provide outpatient hematology and oncology coverage in Plymouth, Indiana. This opportunity supports the launch of a new service line and includes outpatient clinic coverage only, offering a competitive hourly rate of $526/hour, along with lodging and travel coverage, rental car or mileage reimbursement, and malpractice insurance included.
Practice Details
Outpatient hematology and oncology practice
Reason for coverage: New service line expansion
Patient population includes adult and geriatric patients
Practice mix: 50% Hematology / 50% Oncology
Average outpatient volume: 30 patients per day
No inpatient rounding responsibilities
Administration of chemotherapy by physicians and nurse oncologists
EMR: Epic
Estimated credentialing timeframe:
• 60 days with active Indiana license
• 90 days without Indiana license
Clinical Responsibilities
Outpatient hematology and oncology clinic care
Management of vascular access devices and central venous catheters
Bone marrow biopsies
Participation in tumor board
Management of bone marrow transplant-related care
Ordering and interpreting laboratory tests
Blood bank coordination
Ordering imaging studies
Prescribing and managing chemotherapy treatments
Required Procedures
Bone marrow biopsy
Management of VAD / CV catheters
Qualifications
Board Certified in Hematology and/or Oncology (ABMS or AOA)
Demonstrated competency across both hematology and oncology
Active Indiana medical license
BLS certification
Clean malpractice history and background
NPDB self-query required at time of presentation
