As the Clinical Team Lead, you will be responsible for the successful clinical oversight, staff management, and administration of assigned functions of the Counseling Program. Provide direct service as required and maintain a public awareness of the services of the unit. This position is expected to function effectively with minimal supervision while following the guidelines given on procedures, along with agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities- Provide direct individual/group clinical supervision to licensed staff, limited licensed staff, and clinical interns (i.e. supervises) in accordance with clinical supervision policy;
- Facilitate timely supervisory oversight of case assessment, treatment planning, progress noting, progress reporting, and case closing activities.
- Participate in regular supervisory team meetings with program managers, supervisors, and lead therapists. Work to build a cohesive team and maintain positive staff morale;
- Collaborate with program manager/equivalent to support continuous improvement and/or corrective action, if needed, of supervised activities;
- Work with administrative staff and program manager/equivalent to coordinate intake and referrals. Ensure case assignments are made in a fair and equitable manner;
- Complete ongoing supervisee performance evaluations in accordance with agency guidance;
- Ensure effective operations through selection, training and orientation of new staff/interns;
- Manage clinical credentialing processes for supervises in accordance with credentialing policy;
- Maintain awareness of current trends and best practice. Recommend changes in agency policies and practices when appropriate;
- Collaborate with Program Manager/Equivalent, Finance, and People and Culture (HR) to make decisions regarding time management, incentive pay, expense reimbursement and other financial/staffing concerns;
- Collaborate with program manager/equivalent to support preparation of annual budget, goals and objectives, and adherence to budget throughout the year;
- Monitor end of the month reports. Maintain good working knowledge of billing statements and those of the workers supervised;
- Provide consultation to other units as needed;
- Assure compliance with all contract requirements and support successful completion of all audits. Complete all responsibilities in a manner consistent with legal, ethical, and policy/procedure expectations;
- Provide direct assessment and therapy services to clients;
- Complete written clinical evaluations, treatment planning, progress notes, progress reports, and case closings in accordance with all policies and contracts. Assure that case recording/documentation is completed in a timely manner and adequate to satisfy insurance company and agency expectations;
- Ensure compliance with coordination of care policies and procedures;
- Maintain, enhance, and develop positive relationships with referral sources, community agencies, employers and individuals;
- Attend project team and community committee meetings as requested;
- Collaborate with program manager/equivalent and Finance to assure timely billing and fee collection;
- Establish and maintain referrals or contracts for psychological and psychiatric services;
