Overview
Harmony Biosciences is recruiting for a Director, Alliance and Professional Relations in our Plymouth Meeting, PA location. This role is responsible for advancing the corporate strategy and brand awareness among leaders within professional medical organizations (PMOs) and within community‑focused not‑for‑profit organizations. This position will play a key role in developing and executing strategic engagement plans with PMOs, while also supporting the epilepsy franchise s role bridges external stakeholder engagement with internal stakeholder collaboration, ensuring alignment with therapeutic area imperatives and corporate objectives.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities- Drive the development and implementation of strategic engagement plans with US and International PMOs, including identifying and creating opportunities for collaboration, driving corporate strategy, elevating the voice of the patient, and enhancing Harmony's corporate reputation and brand awareness.
- Drive a comprehensive strategy for engagement and collaboration with leaders within community‑based not‑for‑profit organizations.
- Identify key opportunities for cross‑functional colleagues and members from the senior leadership team to engage with PMO leadership.
- Serve as a key liaison between Harmony and PMO, fostering collaborative relationships and representing the company at relevant forums and round tables to identify opportunities for collaboration and elevate Harmony's corporate reputation and mission.
- Identify opportunities to leverage corporate memberships and sponsor ships to elevate the voice of the patient and to drive corporate initiatives.
- Share gathered insights from PMOs and community‑based not‑for‑profits with corporate affairs teammates to help drive broad corporate affairs objectives.
- Convene cross‑functional colleagues for PMO congress planning to drive One Harmony culture and ensure alignment with the overall franchise strategy.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with key internal stakeholders in Medical Affairs, Clinical Strategy, and Commercial to optimize external interactions and ensure cohesive professional society engagement strategies.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the mission, vision, and strategic priorities of key PMOs that support therapeutic areas aligned with Harmony.
- Track and report on PMO engagement activities, ensuring alignment with internal goals and objectives.
- Strategically fund programs through corporate sponsor ships while ensuring effective budget management.
- Develop internal communications plan to elevate visibility of Harmony's PMO partnerships.
- Partner with Patient Advocacy team to facilitate collaborative programs that bring together representatives from Patient Advocacy Groups (PAGs) and PMOs.
- Master's degree or above required;
Advanced scientific degree (Pharm D, MD, PhD) strongly preferred - 7+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with focus on thought leader engagement and/or Medical Affairs required;
Experience with in the rare disease CNS therapeutic area is a plus - Demonstrated experience with building strong relationships with thought leaders and internal cross‑functional partners, effective communicator with the ability to influence across teams while engaging confidently with senior leadership.
- Ability to identify opportunities for continual improvement with a proven track record as a proficient solver of complex problems
- Displays strong strategic thinking, creativity, and analytical ability, identifying opportunities for improvement, solving complex problems, and translating insights into actionable strategies.
- Maintains exceptional organization and adaptability in fast‑paced environments, managing multiple priorities with strong project management skills and a high level of energy and commitment to patients, science, and public health.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Global and Domestic travel may vary through the year estimated between 30‑50%. Candidate must be able to maintain or obtain valid US Passport within 90 days of hire date.
