Growing restaurant group (Sabio on Main, Crush'd, Pivot Craft Kitchen & Bar) looking for an experienced Cook to join our Michelin rated Sabio kitchen! You will work with Chef/Partner Francis Hogan and his tightly knit team producing a constantly evolving, seasonally driven menu. We execute an extremely seasonal menu featuring the incredible products our farmers and ranchers provide us with. We open for dinner daily offering both a la carte options as well as a curated chef's tasting menu.
We also offer weekend brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, and Happy Hour on weekdays.
To be successful in this role, you are passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences through consistent, high-quality food. With previous experience as a cook, you are able to manage multiple priorities and contribute to a friendly and productive team atmosphere. We are a collaborative kitchen and welcome input on the menu.
ResponsibilitiesEnsure quality of food and ingredients by checking for freshness, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock
Assemble station Mise en Place and prepare assigned dishes during service periods to the restaurant's standards
Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperatures by regulating the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, fryers, and smokers.
Assist co-workers as needed to foster a team environment
Respond to guest and management feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism
QualificationsPrevious experience as a restaurant cook preferred
Serve Safe or Food Handler’s certification (or must be willing to attain within 30 Days of Employment)
Effective communication skills Ability to lift 30+ lbs Ability to work standing for 8+ hours
