Join Stanford Health Care Tri‑Valley as a Registered Nurse covering the Preoperative and Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for a multifaceted recovery room serving 7 operating rooms, 2 cath labs, GI lab, and diagnostic imaging/interventional radiology departments.

Location: Stanford Health Care – Tri‑Valley
- Assess patients by collecting and documenting data through interview, history, and physical assessment.
- Obtain accurate screening data, interpret normal vs. abnormal findings.
- Determine nursing diagnoses, monitor and evaluate data frequently based on stability.
- Safely perform and document care plan using required nursing procedures consistent with standards of care.
- Evaluate effectiveness of interventions, monitor patients for adverse responses and side effects.
- Assess patient/family understanding and document information in clinical records.
- Create and maintain a healing climate, manage discomfort, and provide emotional support and education.
- Teach self‑care and illness prevention to patients and families.
- Recognize and communicate ethical and legal issues; complete incident reports.
- Attend departmental and hospital committees as assigned; support departmental goals.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Experience: Two years of recent acute hospital PACU experience required; moderate sedation experience required; critical care experience required.
- License/Certification: Current CA RN license; AHA BLS; required departmental certifications (PALS, NRP, ACLS).
- Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, problem solving, teamwork, patient education.
Base pay range: $75.42 – $92.27 per hour. Final salary determined by experience, education, specialty, and training.
