Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant – Inpatient Urology and Gynecologic Oncology Surgery

Position Summary: This full‑time, Monday‑Friday role focuses on inpatient urology with opportunities to first assist in gynecologic oncology operating rooms. Ideal candidates have at least one year of inpatient and robotic surgical first‑assist experience.
Required Qualifications- Current licensure as PA‑C or NP (NPs must hold RNFA certification).
- Minimum 1 year of robotic surgical first‑assist experience, preferably in a high‑acuity setting.
- Prior inpatient care experience, ideally within Urology or another surgical service.
- Willingness to manage inpatient medicine issues as part of a consultative team.
- Comfortable functioning independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced academic or hospital setting.
- Flexible schedule.
- Abide by all Joint Commission requirements and contribute to patient safety and quality programs.
- Provide medical services consistent with your competence and scope of practice.
- Consult or refer to supervising physician when tasks exceed your level of competence.
- Evaluate and treat patients with acute, chronic complaints and health‑maintenance concerns.
- Perform physical exams, obtain histories, order and evaluate diagnostic studies.
- Prescribe medications under supervision and complete required controlled‑substance courses.
- Order and collect laboratory specimens, imaging, and therapy services.
- Assist physician in the operating room as a first or second assistant.
- Obtain informed consent and facilitate admissions, discharges, and discharge paperwork.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and community coordination.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited university.
- Graduate of a PA program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (if applicable).
- State licensure as PA‑C or NP.
- RNFA certification for NPs.
- BLS – Basic Life Support.
- DEA registration.

CompensationBase pay ranges from $86.41 to $114.50 per hour. Final salary will be determined based on experience, education, and relevant qualifications.
