Job Description

The Associate Principal People Partner plays a critical strategic role supporting the growth and success of Tekion and its culture. The role partners closely with business leaders and the Director of People Partners to develop and execute People strategies that align with the company’s overall business objectives. Responsibilities include employee development, employee relations, organizational design, succession planning, and special projects, with a focus on supporting Product and Engineering business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Partnership:
    Build long‑term relationships with C‑suite executives and business unit leaders, serving as a key advisor on all talent management and People matters.
  • Consultative Expertise:
    Leverage advanced analytical skills and People knowledge to diagnose business needs, recommend strategic solutions, and navigate complex people challenges.
  • Business Impact:
    Align People initiatives with overall business strategy, ensuring People programs directly contribute to achieving company goals.
  • Leadership Development:
    Coach and develop leaders at all levels to enhance their people‑management capabilities.
  • Change Champion:
    Communicate People transformation initiatives and secure stakeholder buy‑in across the organization.
  • Continuous Learning:
    Stay abreast of emerging HR trends and best practices, continuously improving and adding value to the organization.
Skills and Experience
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
  • 8–10 years of HRBP experience, preferably in a fast‑paced growing SaaS company, supporting Product and Engineering functions.
  • Ability to build trust and drive team effectiveness.
  • Strong organizational, project‑management, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate a clear vision and develop effective relationships.
  • A "can do" attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Comfort with accountability, feedback, and self‑improvement.
  • A desire to help others succeed.
  • Enthusiasm and optimism.
  • Adaptability to a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.
  • Offshore experience working with India.

Salary

Base Salary Range: $159,500—$238,500 USD. Equity and bonus opportunities may increase total compensation. The actual compensation offered may vary based on location, experience, education, and other factors.
