Anaplan Solution Architect - FP&A

Job Description

Pay Range: $70hr - $75hr

• The Anaplan Solution Architect – FP&A will lead enterprise-scale financial planning and budgeting implementations using Anaplan.
• The role requires deep expertise in FP&A processes, end-to-end Anaplan implementations, solution architecture design, stakeholder engagement, and production support.
• The ideal candidate will be an Anaplan Certified Solution Architect or Master Ana planner with extensive experience in financial planning systems and enterprise integrations.

• 12+ years of overall work experience.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in Anaplan as a Model Builder.
• Minimum 4+ end-to-end Anaplan implementations in Financial Planning and Budgeting.
• Experience operating sprint cycles using Agile/Scrum frameworks.

• Anaplan Certified Solution Architect or Master Ana planner.
• Strong expertise in FP&A processes and enterprise financial planning solutions.
• Demonstrated experience with EPM/ERP tools.
• Strong understanding of inbound and outbound data integrations with source systems.
• Experience with issue/defect management tools such as JIRA or equivalent.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to operate independently with minimal guidance.

• Analyze business requirements and design scalable Anaplan solutions aligned with FP&A processes.
• Configure and build Anaplan models including Lists, Modules, Data Hubs, New UX, and ALM.
• Lead solution architecture, technical design documentation, and data flow diagrams.
• Design, develop, and deliver high-quality reporting dashboards.
• Coordinate with data integration and migration teams to ensure seamless system connectivity.
• Collaborate with technical teams to build and support integrations using APIs (SOAP, REST).
• Develop and execute test plans and scripts; perform testing and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Lead production support activities and resolve issues based on severity levels.
• Engage directly with customers, perform stakeholder management, and recommend process improvements.
• Support Agile delivery cycles and collaborate with product owners and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure usability, performance, security, and quality standards are met.
• Identify data integrity issues and implement proactive solutions.

• Expertise in Anaplan modeling, space optimization, and formula tuning.
• Strong knowledge of Financial Planning and Budgeting processes.
• Proficient in data analytics and financial modelling.
• Experience designing complex technical architecture and business architecture diagrams.
• Knowledge of APIs and integration methods (SOAP, REST).
• Experience with EPM/ERP platforms and enterprise integrations.

• Excellent problem-solving skills in dynamic environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for articulating architectural concepts.
• Ability to lead multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required.
• Relevant certifications in Anaplan mandatory.
