Adventure awaits at Camp P-Town! The City of Pleasanton is seeking energetic and experienced camp leaders to take on the role of Recreation Leader III - Camp P-Town Lead and create unforgettable summer adventures for our community's youth (ages 6-14)!
Under the direction of the Recreation Coordinator, you'll lead the charge in a dynamic day camp setting—serving as the on-site lead to supervise Recreation Leader II's and Leaders in Training (L.I.T.s), supporting activity planning, facilitation, and organization, communicating effectively with supervisors, parents, and staff, handling general administrative tasks like program implementation and safety protocols, administering first aid as needed, and ensuring a safe, fun-filled environment every step of the way.
You'll build strong relationships, resolve conflicts with mature judgment, and collaborate in a team-oriented atmosphere to make camp magic happen!
- Supervise and lead day camp participants, facilitating activities according to prepared camp schedules.
- Assist with program set-up, implementation, clean-up, and maintenance of camp rosters, check-in/out procedures, and equipment.
- Work closely with recreation coordinators on program planning, supply acquisition, and ensuring a safe program environment.
- Interact with patrons, parents/guardians, and the public, providing information, resolving conflicts, and administering first aid as needed.
- Handle money for programs or activities, operate cash registers or credit card terminals, and attend mandatory trainings and staff meetings.
- Perform assigned tasks with indirect supervision, including setting up equipment, supplies, and activity areas.

Possess current American Red Cross certification including Water Safety Instructor Lifeguard Training, CPR for the Professional Rescuer and all guidelines outlined in Title 22 (may be obtained after employment).
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
