As a Med Surg RN, you’ll play a vital role in delivering safe, patient-centered care while working alongside a supportive interdisciplinary team.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice
- Administer medications, IVs, and treatments safely and in accordance with hospital policy
- Collaborate with physicians and care team members to achieve positive patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families to support recovery and continuity of care
- Respond promptly and professionally to patient needs and call lights
- Recognize and respond effectively to emergencies and life-threatening situations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and healing patient environment
- Participate in unit-based Quality Assurance and patient safety initiatives
- Support the orientation and training of new staff and nursing students as requested
- Practice within the Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Active RN license eligible to practice in Wisconsin
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
- Strong communication, clinical, and organizational skills
- Ability to safely use patient care equipment and meet physical and cognitive job demands
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- $33.00 – $51.50 per hour
, based on experience - Evening and night shift differentials
