As a Maintenance Technician, you will support our manufacturing operations by providing a full range of multi-craft equipment maintenance services with a focus on reliability, safety, and continuous improvement. You will ensure the sustainable operation of production machinery by performing preventive maintenance and repairs on motors, conveyor systems, and other manufacturing equipment. Additionally, you will play a key role in process improvement and problem-solving initiatives across the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using systematic and logical diagnostic methods.
- Install and perform alignment on mechanical drive systems.
- Complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks, including major service and overhaul work.
- Replace failed or worn parts and components as needed.
- Adjust and calibrate equipment to meet operational specifications.
- Maintain machinery lubrication requirements and monitor performance.
- Recommend process or procedural improvements based on observed equipment performance.
- Test electrical systems and wiring continuity using devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters.
- Install, inspect, replace, or repair electrical components, wiring, receptacles, and fixtures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance data to establish historical records and inform future maintenance planning.
- Train and mentor junior technicians and operators on proper equipment service, operation, and care.
- Participate in annual maintenance skills assessments and ongoing training to ensure continued technical development.
- 2-year Technical Degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of industrial manufacturing maintenance experience or equivalent technical background.
- Strong mechanical and electrical background.
- Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CMMS systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and production equipment.
- Familiarity with standard shop tools such as drill press, band saw, and portable power tools.
- Skilled in the use of precision measuring devices.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and train others effectively.
- Successful completion of certification testing.
