Position Title:

Engineering Technician

Wage:

Based on Experience

We are seeking a motivated and hands‑on Engineering Technician to support engineering and product development activities related to powersports equipment. This role is a balanced blend of mechanical hands‑on work (approximately 65%) and technical/engineering support (approximately 35%).

The ideal candidate enjoys working directly on machines, troubleshooting mechanical systems, and collaborating with engineers using drawings, prints, and data to solve problems and improve designs.

Engineering Technician Responsibilities:
  • Perform mechanical assembly, disassembly, modification and repair of powersports equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and support root cause investigations
  • Support prototype builds, testing and validation activities
  • Operate tools and shop equipment while maintaining an organized work area
  • Work with CAD drawings and engineering prints
  • Support engineering work requests and documentation
  • Assist engineers with problem solving, data collection and design feedback
  • Create and update basic documentation, presentations and reports
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data tracking and communication
  • Communicate effectively with engineering, manufacturing and cross‑functional teams
Qualifications for Engineering Technician:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on wrenching experience
  • Solid understanding of mechanical function of machines and equipment
  • Good soft skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and engineering prints
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset and attention to detail
  • Experience with fabrication (welding, cutting, machining, or similar) preferred
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics preferred
  • Familiarity with CAD software (viewing and basic interaction) preferred
  • Prior experience in powersports, automotive, or off‑road equipment preferred
