OverviewThe Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate makes eye contact, smiles, and greets all Customers in a courteous and friendly manner, treats fellow Associates with respect, follows all company best practice standards, maintains a clean work area, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. The Associate may be asked to perform a range of tasks in all areas of the Store as business needs require.
Responsibilities- Understand safety is the number one priority and practice safe behaviors in everything you do.
- Maintain a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe shopping environment; keep egress clear; report unsafe conditions to Store Leadership.
- Treat customers and Associates with respect and courtesy; greet customers by making eye contact, smiling, and saying hello; maintain professional interactions.
- Assist customers, be register-trained, answer questions in a polite and knowledgeable manner; respond to customer service calls promptly; escalate to Store Leadership as needed.
- Represent and support the Company brand at all times.
- Perform cleaning tasks to maintain a clean store and assist in maintaining merchandise presentation.
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the Company dress code.
- Execute daily sizing and recovery to ensure a neat, organized, and well-maintained store.
- Expedite newly received merchandise to the sales floor and merchandise items per company guidelines.
- Understand Loss Prevention and merchandise protection standards.
- Safeguard confidential information, cash, and merchandise; follow MOS policies and proper disposal procedures when applicable.
- Follow cash handling procedures and maintain accuracy in transactions.
- Effective communication with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful manner.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail.
- Ability to use store equipment and work with registers as required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store up to 100% of working time.
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop
- Ability to push, pull, and lift more than 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to use janitorial equipment and assist with store setup and maintenance.

The base pay range for this role is $16.50 - $17.00. The base pay range is dependent on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. This range is one component of the total compensation package; other rewards vary by position and location.
