Electrical System Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Electrical System Engineer for a Contract with a client in Pleasant Hill, CA
. Candidates must have hands‑on primary design experience while preparing technical specifications and reviewing complete substation design packages.

Rate Range: $41/hour to $45/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Prepare primary design inputs such as SLDs, layouts, section views, routing, and cable‑way details for EHV/HV substations.
• Perform detailed technical reviews of completed design packages and validate engineering deliverables with customers.
• Develop technical specifications for electrical equipment and provide design inputs/support to EPC contractors and vendors.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth information exchange throughout the project.
• Participate in vendor evaluations, manufacturing approvals, and FAT, while addressing customer and site queries.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers and EPC partners, with willingness to travel for site visits.

• BE/BS or ME/MS in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• 5-10 years of engineering experience in EHV/HV AC substation design.
• Proven hands‑on experience in primary design and technical reviews for AIS/GIS substations, including equipment specification and sizing.
• Strong understanding of international standards (IEC/IEEE/ANSI/NEMA) with experience participating in FAT and supporting site commissioning activities.

Pay Details: $41.00 to $45.00 per hour
