Overview

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is currently looking for a talented full-time Head Baker. We are seeking an individual who is as passionate about food quality, customer service, and community as we are. In the role of Head Baker
, you will have the opportunity to lead a dynamic team offering a unique menu selection of artisan, sweet, and seasonal breads baked with honest, whole ingredients.

Responsibilities, availability, and compensation details are described below.

• Proven track record of following recipes with close attention to detail to create one-of-a-kind breads; ability to lift and work with large amounts of dough and supplies weighing 50 lbs. or more; ability to stand, lift, and mix on a daily basis.
• Work through change and remain flexible while keeping a close eye on what's cooking.
• Schedule availability to work afternoons/nights. Bread Baking shifts are usually from 11am – 7pm with a Sunday shift when the store is closed. During holiday seasons the Bread Baking team schedule may flex into overnight shifts.

• Attentiveness to compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for food handler and sanitation standards
• Leadership experience in either restaurants or retail
• 1+ years of large-scale baking/pastry experience (preferred, but not required)
• Formal culinary education is a bonus
