The job of Custodian Lead - Sr. High is performed to provide evening custodial services at the assigned site; coordinating and communicating with the Head Custodian, ensuring an attractive, sanitary, and safe environment for students, staff and visitors, performing a variety of special cleaning operations, overseeing the preparation for classroom activities and campus events, supporting assigned custodians, and ensuring assignments are completed in a safe, proper, and timely manner.

• Assist with site snow removal to ensure access and safety for night events.
• Cleans assigned facilities and/or grounds, maintaining a sanitary, safe, and attractive environment.
• Consult with administrative personnel to plan, prioritize, and schedule custodial activities and achieve site maintenance objectives.
• Deliver a variety of items for distribution to appropriate parties within the site.
• Distribute custodial supplies and equipment to custodial staff and/or storage locations.
• Inform students and other site personnel of activities, safety issues, and proper maintenance of facilities and equipment.
• Inspect facilities and components to ensure suitability for safe operations, maintain cleanliness, and identify necessary repairs.
• Lifts up to 80 pounds and may push/pull up to 150 pounds for site maintenance, material distribution, and safety.
• Maintain supplies and equipment to ensure availability of custodial items required for proper maintenance.
• Manage preparation, set-up, and take down of events to ensure all needed materials/equipment and safety protocols are in compliance with district standards.
• Monitor activities in and around work areas to identify and correct issues that could cause injuries, ensuring site safety.
• Oversee facility maintenance activities and assigned custodial personnel to ensure efficient performance in compliance with site requirements and standards.
• Perform minor maintenance on custodial equipment, classroom furniture, and fixtures to ensure proper functioning and usability.
• Prepare site for daily operations, ensuring facilities are operational and hazard free.
• Prepare written materials to document activities or relate activities to administration for action.
• Replenish classroom and restroom supplies to ensure adequate quantities for daily use.
• Respond to immediate safety and/or operational concerns during and after hours, taking appropriate action or notifying appropriate personnel.
• Secure facilities and grounds to minimize property damage, vandalism, equipment loss, and liability.
• Support other site maintenance staff to complete site custodial activities.
• Train assigned personnel to develop professional trade and safety awareness skills aligned with district policies and expectations.
• Transport a variety of tools, equipment, supplies, etc., ensuring availability of materials required at the job site.
• Participate in meetings, workshops, trainings, and seminars to gather or convey information required to perform job functions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

• Age 16+
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Job-related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required.
