Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education Requirements: Completion of a Rocket Chemotherapy course or equivalent relevant training.
  • Certifications Requirements:
    • Wisconsin RN License
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • Experience Requirements:
    • At least 1 year of chemotherapy administration experience
    • Previous infusion nursing experience in a hospital setting
    • Experience with chemo drug preparation and administration
  • Other Requirements:
    • Ability to work 36 hours per week on dayshift
    • Strong communication and critical thinking skills
    • Physical ability to perform duties during long shifts

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and effective chemotherapy infusion treatments to patients in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and responses during infusion procedures, promptly addressing any adverse reactions or complications.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all treatments, medications administered, and patient responses in the EMR system.
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and ensure compliance with facility policies and safety standards.
  • Educate patients and their families about chemotherapy procedures, side effects, and post-treatment care instructions.
