Position SummaryTwo full‑time tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Construction Management/Safety positions with a start date of August 2026. These positions will teach undergraduate courses in construction management and/or construction safety, ranging from introductory to capstone levels, and contribute to the development of innovative, hands‑on learning experiences using emerging construction technologies. The department offers three primary areas of study:
Engineering Technology Management, Construction Management, and Technical and Engineering Education. The University of Wisconsin System provides a nationally top‑ranked retirement plan and comprehensive benefits package.
- Teach undergraduate courses in construction management and construction safety, from introductory to capstone levels.
- Develop and deliver training in new and innovative construction technologies with a focus on student learning in applied situations.
- Assist in program oversight and engage industry stakeholders through advisory boards and professional peer groups.
- Serve as academic advisor, contribute to curriculum development, maintain professional contacts, and engage in scholarly activities and research.
- Pursue professional development and participate in university and community service.
- Teach courses through alternative delivery methods as needed and advise relevant student organizations.
- Actively follow and promote applicable safety rules and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Chair.
- Ph.D. in Construction Management or a related field, with at least one year of construction industry experience or related research.
- At least one semester of teaching experience at the college level.
- Demonstrated understanding of theories and practices in construction management and safety.
- Legal entitlement to work in the United States at the time of hire.
