** The College of Business, Industry, Life Science and Agriculture at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville invites applications for two full-time tenure-track
** Assistant Professor of Construction Management/Safety
** positions, with a start date of August 2026. The Applied Engineering Technology Management department offers three primary areas of study:
Engineering Technology Management, Construction Management and Technical and Engineering Education.
These positions will teach undergraduate courses in construction management and/or construction safety, ranging from introductory to capstone levels, and contribute to the development of innovative, hands-on learning experiences using emerging construction technologies.

** Key
Job Responsibilities:
*** Teach undergraduate courses in, or related to, construction management, ranging from introductory to capstone levels dependent on applicants' qualifications and experience.
* Teach undergraduate construction safety courses.
* Develop and deliver training in new and innovative construction technology with a focus on student learning in applied situations.
* Assist program oversight and engage industry stakeholders through advisory board and professional peer groups.
* Serve as academic advisor, contribute to curriculum development, maintain professional contacts, engage in scholarly activities and research, pursue professional development, and participate in university and community service.
* Teach courses through alternative delivery methods, as needed.
* Advise relevant student organizations, as needed.
* Actively follow and promote applicable safety rules and regulations.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Chair.

* Required Qualifications:
*** Ph.D. in Construction Management, or a related field with at least one year of construction industry experience or related research.
* At least one semester of teaching experience at the college level.
* Demonstrated understanding of theories and an ability to teach using technology and machines/equipment in a hands-on laboratory.
* Proven commitment to undergraduate education and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a supportive, collegial environment.
* Excellent oral and written communication.
* Demonstrated ability to engage with industry professionals.

The department offers a B.S. degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology Management and Technology and Engineering Education.
