Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Plantation, Florida. This position involves working approximately 30 hours per week for the next three months, with a focus on balance sheet reconciliations and supporting monthly financial close activities. The role is ideal for professionals with expertise in accounting processes and a strong background in Net Suite.

Responsibilities:

- Perform comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations for a recently acquired company.

- Assist in the monthly financial close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of financial records.

- Review and manage general ledger accounts to ensure proper allocation and compliance.

- Handle corporate tax-related tasks, including preparation and filing.

- Manage sales tax reporting and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

- Support the preparation of corporate tax returns.

- Collaborate with team members to address accounting discrepancies and improve processes.

- Utilize Net Suite for accounting operations and reporting.

- Ensure adherence to industry standards and company policies in all accounting activities. Requirements - Proven experience in accounting roles, with a focus on balance sheet reconciliations.

- Proficiency in Net Suite software is required.

- Strong understanding of corporate tax regulations and sales tax compliance.

- Ability to prepare accurate journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.

- Familiarity with preparing corporate tax returns and related documentation.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Strong analytical abilities to resolve discrepancies and optimize processes.

- Ability to work independently while collaborating with team members as needed.
