CDL Driver- Hazardous Waste

• Safe Operation: Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer to transport freight and hazardous materials to local customer sites.
• Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, especially regarding Haz Mat handling and transport.
• Pre/Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough daily inspections of the tractor, trailer, and safety equipment to ensure roadworthiness and regulatory compliance.
• Cargo Management: Properly load, unload, and secure hazardous materials, ensuring correct weight distribution and the use of required placarding.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate logs, shipping papers, and delivery receipts.
• Customer Service: Act as a professional representative of the company when interacting with clients and site managers.

• License: Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Endorsements: Current Hazardous Materials (Haz Mat) endorsement required.
• Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of verifiable CDL Class A driving experience.

• Safety Record: A clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
• Physical Standards: Must possess a current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check (including TSA security threat assessment for Haz Mat).
• Skills: Strong knowledge of safe driving practices in high-traffic local environments and proficiency in using ELDs.

• Availability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
• Frequent climbing in/out of the cab and trailer.
