Cloud Software Engineer (AWS), Enterprise Supervision
Join the Enterprise Supervision team at Tyler Technologies as a Software Engineer! We’re looking for a passionate, skilled developer to help design and build scalable, event‑driven applications using AWS-native services such as API Gateway, Event Bridge, Lambda, Step Functions, and SQS. In this role, you’ll play a key part in modernizing our solutions and delivering high-quality, secure software that empowers our clients and supports mission‑critical outcomes.
HYBRID WORK POLICY:
The candidate must come into the Plano, TX office at least 3 days per week.

Responsibilities- Design and develop scalable, high-performance applications using AWS-native event-driven services, including API Gateway, Event Bridge, Step Functions, Lambda, and SQS.
- Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Maintain and enhance existing applications, resolving bugs and improving performance and security.
- Develop RESTful APIs and ensure smooth integration across internal and external services.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with QA, Product, and Dev Ops teams in Agile development cycles.
- Write clean, maintainable code with strong documentation and testing practices.
- Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience building SaaS or web-based applications.
- Proven experience with AWS, particularly in event-driven architecture.
- Proficiency with modern JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and Web Components (e.g., Lit).
- Hands‑on experience with containerization using Docker.
- Strong working knowledge with relational databases and document databases.
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Go and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with AWS SAM, Cloud Formation, or Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Knowledge of observability tools (e.g., Cloud Watch, X‑Ray) in an AWS ecosystem.
Salary will generally fall between $66,585 – $120,000 before adjustment for geographic differences. Recruiter can confirm if position is incentive eligible.
