Overview
Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Plano, TX / Houston, TX. The ideal candidate possesses required hands‑on proficiency in Spring Boot and Kafka while developing microservices and implementing secure, high‑performance solutions on AWS.
Rate Range$53/hour to $56/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
- Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Integration for scalable, event‑driven applications.
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs and Kafka‑based messaging workflows to support high‑throughput, real‑time data processing.
- Deploy, monitor, and enhance applications on AWS using services such as ECS, S3, SNS, API Gateway, IAM, Postgres, Cloud Watch, and Secrets Manager.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to analyze requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and support end‑to‑end SDLC activities.
- Implement CI/CD processes using Git, Bitbucket, and automated build pipelines to ensure efficient, reliable software delivery.
- Troubleshoot production issues, improve application performance, and ensure best practices in cloud security, code quality, and Agile development.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of experience in backend development using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Strong client‑required expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka for building scalable REST and integration services.
- Proven hands‑on experience deploying and managing applications on AWS using services such as ECS, API Gateway, S3, SNS, IAM, Cloud Watch, KMS, and Postgres.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
