Tyler Technologies is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer at 5101 Tennyson Pkwy, Plano, TX 75204 to perform the following job duties.

• Maintain existing application programs by fixing bugs or addressing operational deficiencies in both previously released software and software slated for future releases. Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including research, design, analysis, requirements gathering, implementation, test automation, and maintenance.
• Utilize new technologies and tools to modify products and provide integration with applications developed internally and externally. Prepare and modify program and system documentation. Ensure program, module, and system integrity through thorough testing and adherence to company standards.
• Participate in analyzing, designing, writing and testing code, documenting and implementing functionally appropriate, technically sound, and well-integrated application systems. Contribute to new application development and existing system enhancements by coding features according to system designs.
• Provide guidance to less experienced team members to facilitate knowledge transfer and training to meet department goals. Take responsibility for the application's security profile, monitor code scanning tools, identify vulnerabilities, and report findings to the team.
• Play an active role in interviewing and evaluating candidates and interns to help build a strong team. Actively recognize technical debt to maintain code quality and sustainability. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all domain areas under the teams custodial ownership.
• Work remotely within the same MSA as the worksite up to 3 days per week as an option. Must be in the office at least 2 days per week.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field or foreign equivalent.
• 5 years of experience in Software Developer, Software Engineer, or similar occupation; and 5 years in Java, MySQL, Spring, DHTML, JavaScript, and XML/XSD/XSLT.
