Compensation: $38–$45/hour (flag rate) + performance-based bonuses
Responsibilities- Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Operate dealership-owned and customer-owned vehicles safely.
- Provide accurate and trustworthy diagnoses and repairs to maintain customer trust.
- Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Save and tag parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
- Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
- Communicate with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
- Document all work performed and recommendations on the repair order.
- Road test vehicles.
- Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
- Keep abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
- Use and maintain expensive tools and equipment.
- Inspect and test drive newly delivered vehicles for obvious damage and missing major components and drivability functions.
- Keep the shop area neat and clean.
- Maintain and hold accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Return them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received.
- Understand, keep abreast of and comply with federal, state and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
- Handle hazardous materials, such as motor oil, coolant, and cleaning agents, in compliance with safety regulations.
- Access restricted or secure areas of the dealership.
- Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Report any safety issues immediately to management.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- High school diploma and two years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of Ferrari Technician experience preferred.
- Customer satisfaction driven and energetic team player.
- Problem solving by analyzing and interpreting data.
- Mechanical, technical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Manual dexterity.
- Master technician skills a plus.
