Business Development Manager (Outside Sales) Construction / Engineering Services | DFW Area

Looking for a driven Business Development Manager to help grow a fast moving engineering services firm in Texas. This is a true outside sales role for someone who thrives building relationships, opening doors, and owning the full business development process.

This role is ideal for a go getter who’s comfortable being the first dedicated BD rep in a growing shop. You’ll work directly with the founder, follow established processes and systems, and play a key role in scaling revenue. Industry background is flexible but experience selling into construction, engineering, architecture, or related services is strongly preferred. Mindset and execution matter most.

The right person sees opportunity year-round and knows how to create momentum when others don’t.

• Generate new business through networking, client meetings, and outbound outreach
• Build and manage a sales pipeline from first contact to close
• Represent the firm at industry events, associations, and client meetings
• Develop relationships with GCs, architects, developers, and franchise groups
• Track activity, document efforts, and work within existing systems and processes
• Provide pipeline visibility and contribute to revenue growth strategy

• 3–4+ years of successful outside sales or business development experience
• Comfortable selling services (not products) in a relationship-driven environment
• Ability to speak the language of construction and engineering (preferred)
• Self-starter mentality with strong follow-through and discipline
• Comfortable working independently while aligning closely with leadership
• Willing to be on-site 1x per week (DFW-based role)
