OverviewSales Development Rep (SDR) role - Crestron’s SDR team makes a daily impact using inbound and outbound prospecting tools to identify leads, generate demand, and engage in discovery conversations (BANT) to qualify opportunities. SDRs collaborate with other Crestron teams to increase sales. Our SDRs proudly offer superlative service to various types of customer groups if they need assistance or direction. Each member of the SDR team enjoys ongoing learning about product benefits, avenues for support, and the opportunity to cultivate or refine their own sales skills.
Responsibilities- Generate new opportunities using outbound prospecting and inbound lead resources (B2B).
- Initiate conversations and follow a cadence of phone and email action steps, while documenting details to keep our CRM up to date.
- Engage prospects in professional and meaningful discovery conversations to uncover business challenges and explain how Crestron can deliver value.
- Collaborate across teams with internal stakeholders such as Crestron’s Channel Sales, Sales Development, and Support teams to ensure revenue generation and Crestron brand standards.
- Deliver exceptional service to several types of customers when they request aid and/or direction.
- Maintain accurate records by documenting all interactions, progress, and outcomes to ensure timely follow-up and data integrity.
- Master sales tools to effectively use prospecting platforms, including but not limited to Salesforce CRM, Salesloft, Zoominfo, etc.
- Learn Crestron’s procedures and have an ongoing desire to learn about Crestron’s products and services.
- Maintain a sense of urgency for engagement and follow-through.
- Commit to growth through structured training, coaching, and leveraging constructive feedback from leadership.
- Contribute to team success by offering constructive suggestions and ideas to contribute to the development and ongoing achievements by our team.
- Demonstrate good judgment and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Customer Service orientation - Prior Experience in sales or customer facing role (1-2 years, Required).
- CRM experience (Required). Salesforce preferred. Commited to maintain sales tracking & activity records.
- Driven & Accountable: Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and ownership of results
- Highly Organized: Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent Communicator: Strong verbal and written communication skills to connect effectively with prospects, customers and team members.
- Problem Solver: Curious and adaptable, with a willingness to learn and tackle challenges creatively.
- Collaborative & Independent: Comfortable working autonomously while contributing to team success.
- Tech-Friendly: Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce) and prospecting platforms (Sales Loft, Zoom Info) is a plus—but not required; training provided.
- Ability to be on- site at our Plano Crestron office - on a hybrid work schedule 3 days per week.
