• Assist customers with bakery purchases.
• Clean shelving and display cases.
• Clean, fill, and rotate self‑serve displays located in the store front and adjacent to the bakery.
• Take special orders from customers.
• Collaborate with the baker to determine which items need baking or decorating.
• Assist with department cleaning, including hosing down floors with soap and water.
• Provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service to the Bakery department.
• Perform any other tasks as required by the Bakery Manager.

• Age 16‑17 years.
• Read and write Spanish and English; interact with the general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information effectively in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and employees.
• Use common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift up to 25 lbs, frequently up to 45 lbs, and occasionally up to 60 lbs.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills (preferred).
• Retail Management Certificate (preferred).
• Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required for all food handling positions.
