As the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Acute Rehabilitation Hospital Of Plano, you will work a 12‑hour shift, providing our patients with personal care, assisting the nursing staff, and delivering exceptional service. Job Responsibilities:- Provide personal care to patients in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort consistent with hospital policy.
- Promote and support the greatest possible degree of independence for patients.
- Advise nurse of patient’s status throughout the shift.
- Contribute knowledge of patient’s condition/needs to patient’s care plan.
- Assist in the implementation of care plans as directed within the parameters of established policy and procedure.
- Observe and report on patients’ condition, and document observations as required.
- Comply with requirements of procedures for safe lifting and/or safe transfer of patients per established policies and procedures.
- Must be able to perform moderate to heavy lifting.
- Assure that equipment is clean and functional.
- Perform incidental housekeeping or maintenance tasks as may be required to maintain a clean, hazard‑free environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
- State certification as a nursing assistant.
- Current BLS certification.
- Complete familiarity with the duties of a certified nursing assistant.
- Highly developed observation skills.
