As the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Acute Rehabilitation Hospital Of Plano, you will work a 12‑hour shift, providing our patients with personal care, assisting the nursing staff, and delivering exceptional service. Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care to patients in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort consistent with hospital policy.
  • Promote and support the greatest possible degree of independence for patients.
  • Advise nurse of patient’s status throughout the shift.
  • Contribute knowledge of patient’s condition/needs to patient’s care plan.
  • Assist in the implementation of care plans as directed within the parameters of established policy and procedure.
  • Observe and report on patients’ condition, and document observations as required.
  • Comply with requirements of procedures for safe lifting and/or safe transfer of patients per established policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to perform moderate to heavy lifting.
  • Assure that equipment is clean and functional.
  • Perform incidental housekeeping or maintenance tasks as may be required to maintain a clean, hazard‑free environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
CNA Requirements:
  • State certification as a nursing assistant.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Complete familiarity with the duties of a certified nursing assistant.
  • Highly developed observation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
