Plano, TX | Full-Time | Variable Schedule
Estimated Pay Range: $84,800 to $125,000 annually (equivalent to $40 to $60/hour, depending on experience)

A leading cardiovascular specialty hospital in Plano, Texas is expanding its leadership team and seeking an experienced Nurse Manager for the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU).
This newly added position supports an expanding 28-bed CVICU and provides shared leadership for approximately 40 staff, including ECMO clinicians and critical care nurses.
You'll help guide a talented nursing team delivering advanced cardiac and vascular care in a technologically sophisticated, patient-focused environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide hands-on leadership and administrative oversight for CVICU nursing operations.
Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource utilization to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Support unit expansion efforts, including advanced cardiac support and ECMO integration.
Collaborate with physicians and cross-departmental teams to improve clinical outcomes and care delivery.
Implement initiatives that enhance patient safety, quality metrics, and nurse engagement.
Oversee budget, supplies, and equipment management within departmental goals.
Promote a culture of professional growth, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
QualificationsRequired:
Current RN license (Texas or Compact State)
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Minimum of 4 years of recent acute care leadership experience in CVICU or ICU
Current BLS and ACLS (AHA or Red Cross)
Preferred:
Masters degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field
National certification such as CCRN or CNRN
Prior leadership experience in high-volume cardiac or cardiovascular intensive care settings
