Physician Assistant, Neurosurgery/Neuro IR - PRN, Days

Work Hours:

PRN, 6:00am – 4:00pm

• Fellowship trained Neurosurgeons and Neuro Interventional Radiologists
• Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center
• 24 bed ICU and dedicated Neuro unit
• Neuro Trauma, Elective Spine, Neuro Interventional Radiology and Brain Surgical cases

• Graduate of an AMA accredited Physician Assistant program required
• 3 years of experience as a Physician Assistant preferred
• 1 year of experience in Neurosurgery/Neuro IR strongly preferred
• PA - Physician Assistant Current State of Texas PA license upon hire required
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days required
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
• Other - NCCPA upon hire preferred
• Other - must be credentialed by Medical Staff Service upon hire required

• Document actions, assessments, progress notes and plans in the EHR utilizing approved protocols, order sets and navigators as appropriate; address medication reconciliation.
• Contribute to positive patient experience through effective patient communication and focus on coordination and communication with the multidisciplinary care team; work with varied Patient Experience Teams providing feedback and ideas.
• Meet/performance regulatory requirements, NPSGs, clinical and other KPIs, safety standards; analyze performance; demonstrate fiscally sound decisions.
• Perform clinical procedures authorized by the physician within scope of training and medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations.
