• Become part of a cohesive and long-standing team at Southwest Pulmonary Associates
• Work alongside board-certified pulmonary/critical care physicians to provide outpatient pulmonary care to patients in the Plano community

• Board-certified Nurse Practitioner with unrestricted license
• Licensed to practice in Texas
• Maintains current BLS, ACLS, and other relevant certification(s) and awareness of related accreditation and certification requirements
• Two plus years of relevant experience preferred
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

• Monday through Friday- day shift – 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• Part-time position – 3 shifts per week

• Perform medical examinations using standard medical procedures under the direction of a physician
• Observes, assesses, and records symptoms, reactions, and progress in patient charts
• Demonstrates knowledge of pulmonary and critical care principles and practice protocols
• Demonstrates the ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations and establish a leadership role in an emergency
• Coordinate with physicians, extenders, nurses, and other staff to improve patient care and outcomes
• Demonstrates knowledge of current and emerging trends in technologies, techniques, issues, and approaches in pulmonary science
• Demonstrates working knowledge of medications, with their indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects and correct administration
• Educates patients and/or families as to the nature of the disease, provides instruction on proper care, self-management, and treatment, and works with patients to develop an individualized care plan
