Position: Registered Nurse, Antepartum - Full Time, Nights

Registered Nurse (RN) Antepartum

Work hours:

Full Time, 36 hours, 7:00pm - 7:00am

Antepartum Department highlights
  • 20 bed High-Risk OB unit
  • Provide care for and monitoring of patients in Antepartum, High-Risk OB, GYN surgery, all female surgeries and Postpartum moms who have babies in the Level IV NICU
  • Responsible for 24-hour care of non-laboring Antepartum and GYN patients
Here's What You Need
  • Diploma in Nursing or Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required, BSN preferred
  • One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program
  • One year of Antepartum experience strongly preferred
  • One year of Labor & Delivery experience strongly preferred
  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
  • NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days required
  • IFM - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring upon hire preferred
  • CPI - Crises Prevention Intervention training maintained annually within 90 days required
What You Will Do
  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
