Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical - Full Time Days

Texas Health Plano, 6200 W. Parker Plano, TX 75093
Work hours:
Full-Time Days (7am-7pm) rotating weekends and holidays
Medical Surgical Department highlights:
- 22- bed Medical Surgical Telemetry unit
- 1:5 RN: patient ratio, 1 PCT for every 10-11 pts
- Experience as preceptor and/or charge nurse highly preferred
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
- Nursing Diploma
- Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program
- BSN preferred
- 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program Req
- RN Nurse Upon Hire Required
- BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req
