As the Maintenance Technician at Acute Rehabilitation Hospital of Plano in Plano, TX, you will be responsible for ensuring that the building, equipment, and utilities are properly maintained in accordance with facility policies and all local, state, and federal regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
2+ years of maintenance experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems (including relevant equipment and tools) is a plus
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods; ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and lift or move heavy equipment
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals
Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions from supervisors
May be required to work outside of normal business hours
HVAC, Plumbing, and EPA certifications a plus
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform routine building maintenance duties including painting, minor electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC maintenance
Clean the interior and exterior of the building, as well as machinery and equipment
Complete administrative duties such as filling out forms and reporting maintenance status to supervisor
Comply with all safety and health regulations
Maintain a working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
Keep inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies and equipment and report needs to supervisor
Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs
Diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
Work with and maintain professional relationships with contracted vendors
Perform other duties as assigned
